Gravity – Review

gravity1

Dr. Stone (Sandra Bullock), a medical engineer is on her spacewalk to work on some project. An experienced astronaut, Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) is up there to help her and basically lead the mission. He’s more excited about getting a record of the most hours out in space.

GRAVITY

Suddenly, a distress call from mission control tells them of a Soviet Satellite that was being De-commissioned. It is destroyed. Unfortunately, it went out of hand and sent several fragments of satellites orbiting the earth at a high rate of speed.

GRAVITY

While this space junk hurls around the earth, it finally catches up with the crew and breaks Dr. Stone’s tether with the ship. Soon she’s floating out in space with nothing. Luckily, Kowalski is there, he’ll be able to save them both, right?

GRAVITY

This movie is very suspenseful. In fact, I couldn’t think anything much more scary than floating around in space untethered without a ship in site. I really felt this was an excellent movie. It shows you how big space really is, and how you take for granted the little things on Earth. This is also one of those few movies where watching it in 3D actually brings you into the movie. Very gripping. Loved it. 4.5 out of 5.
